Our state-of-the-art machining facility is equipped with high-spec Mazak CNC machining centres, ranging from 3-axis to 5-axis, with 15 machining centres in-house, including specialist mill/turn and lathe centres.
From rapid prototyping to full-scale production, we offer fast turnaround times to meet critical project deadlines. Our high-precision machining processes achieve tolerances as tight as 5 microns, ensuring consistency and uncompromising quality. We machine components from 100mm³ to 2.5m³, working with ferrous and non-ferrous aerospace-grade alloys, commercial alloys and superalloys in cast, billet, and bar forms.

Up-Front Engineering: Optimal Precision & Efficiency
At Fine-Machined, we believe up-front engineering is essential to achieving the highest quality standards and optimised lead times. Our lead programmers and machining engineers collaborate from the outset of every project, ensuring precision and efficiency from start to finish.
Utilising the latest CAD/CAM software, we generate CNC machining and CMM inspection programs offline, optimising workflows for both rapid prototyping and full-scale production.
All fixturing and workholding solutions are designed and manufactured in-house by our specialist team of toolmakers, guaranteeing stability, repeatability, and accuracy throughout the machining process.
Metrological Inspection: CMM Validation of Machined Components
Our on-site, state-of-the-art metrology laboratory houses a range of high-spec CMMs, advanced programming software, and programmable probe stations, enabling us to measure machined components up to 2 metres with exceptional accuracy.
Utilising advanced CMM technology, our Aerospace-approved quality engineers ensure precise measurement and validation of all components, control calibration systems, and work closely with machinists to maintain the highest level of quality and process control.
Before any components are released, our quality engineers compile and review comprehensive final measurement reports, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards. Additionally, they manage and maintain all quality systems within our machining facility to guarantee consistency, accuracy, and traceability.
With advanced metrology technology and a highly experienced inspection team, we ensure full compliance with customer requirements, including CPK indices, SPC analysis, full ISIR, and FAIR reports.
We use state-of-the-art CMM inspection machines programmed and operated by a team of Aerospace approved quality engineers that measure and qualify all of our work, control our calibration systems and work closely with our machinists to ensure the highest level of quality and control. Our quality engineers prepare and review all final measurement reports before any components are released and manage all quality systems within our machining facility.
Our on-site facility is fully air conditioned and equipped with our own Metrology Lab fitted with the 3 of the latest high spec CMMs and programming software with programmable probe stations to measure components up to 2m.
Surface finish, contour and angle measurements can also performed rapidly with accuracy using our Hobson Taylor Talysurf. This technology combined with our highly experienced inspection team ensures that customer requirements are met including CPK Indices, SPC analysis, full ISIR and FAIR reports.
Assembly & Insert Fitting: Delivering Ready-to-Install Components
Fine-Machined offers comprehensive piece-part assembly, handling everything from full assembly of multiple components to manual insert fitting, and individual part pressure testing, and qualification.
Our skilled fitters, equipped with newly installed pneumatic assembly cells, efficiently manage complex assemblies with precision and speed. This capability enables Fine-Machined to not only manufacture and machine complex components but also assemble and deliver a fully integrated, installation-ready parts.
