Cyber Essentials Plus is a UK Government backed certification designed to help organisations protect against the most common cyber threats. Unlike the standard Cyber Essentials accreditation, the Plus level requires independent, hands-on technical verification of security controls, including vulnerability testing and real-world validation.

For Finecast, cyber resilience is a critical component of operational integrity. As digital integration continues to expand across advanced manufacturing environments, safeguarding data, designs and development programmes is fundamental to maintaining trust within complex and high-performance supply chains.

As a trusted supplier to aerospace, defence, automotive, motorsport and high-performance engineering programmes across the UK, Europe and the US, Finecast manages highly sensitive technical information, including engineering drawings, proprietary casting designs, prototype geometries, simulation files and valuable intellectual property. Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus provides independent assurance that robust systems are in place to protect these critical assets and safeguard commercially sensitive development programmes.

Chris Heatley, CEO and Founder of Finecast, commented:

“Many of our customers operate within the military and defence sectors, where the highest levels of data protection are expected as standard. We take the management of sensitive information extremely seriously — it cannot be compromised. The integrity of our systems, processes and people is critical, and we apply the strictest levels of control across our organisation as part of our duty of care.”

This certification forms part of Finecast’s wider risk mitigation and continuous improvement strategy. Alongside its AS/EN9100 aerospace certification, JOSCAR accreditation and compliance with AMS STD 2175 Class 1 for safety-critical components, Cyber Essentials Plus further reinforces Finecast’s position as a secure, dependable and future-ready manufacturing partner.

As manufacturing becomes increasingly digital and interconnected, cyber security is no longer optional — it is an operational necessity. Finecast remains committed to investing in secure infrastructure, governance and the protection of customer intellectual property across every stage of engagement.
